Hello, I’m Stella, an English and Mandarin-speaking counsellor and psychotherapist based in the UK, registered and accredited with the UKCP.
I offer a warm, supportive space where you can speak freely and feel truly heard. My approach is grounded in empathy, acceptance, and curiosity, with a deep respect for the differences and uniqueness of each individual.
Therapy with me is an invitation to explore what feels difficult while also recognising your strengths, values and potential. I cannot take away the pain, but I can support you in discovering your inner resources and building the capacity to meet life’s challenges with awareness and compassion.
Difficulty and struggle are part of life, but they don’t define who we are - it’s how we respond that matters. The way we meet challenges shapes our resilience and growth, becoming part of our unique journey.
It is okay if you are not sure where to begin, if you feel stuck, or are uncertain about what you need; we can take it step by step, at a pace that feels safe for you.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am registered and accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Warwick. I also have a master's degree in Marketing from Queen Mary, University of London. Before starting my career in psychotherapy, I worked in the marketing field for nearly ten years, and have gained diverse professional experience.
My practice is integrative, with a focus on person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. I also work relationally, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth and healing. Having engaged in over a decade of personal psychoanalytic therapy, I understand the courage it takes to begin this journey and the profound transformation it can bring. This lived experience informs the compassion and depth I bring to my work.
I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, trauma, relationship challenges, LGBTQ+, cultural and identity issues, neurodivergence, and life transitions. I also have experience working in higher education, the charity sector, and private practice settings.
I welcome people from all walks of life into my practice. I am especially passionate about supporting those exploring questions of identity and belonging, as well as individuals from the LGBTQ+ community.
My work is shaped by both professional training and the lived experience of building a life across cultures. I work with an intersectional perspective, paying attention to how aspects of identity, such as race, gender, sexuality, class, and immigration status, come together to shape our experiences. My approach is cross-cultural, compassionate, and responsive to the unique context each client brings.
